Whilst still using TrackIR 4 is it possible, and sensible, to switch to TrackIR 5 without making any further purchase? Following a crash can I go ahead and re-install TR/IR 5?

I followed the route suggested by a guy on the SimHQ forum. He had the same problem as mine. I uninstalled and reinstalled Flaming Cliffs and now all is well. Very odd.

I have this problem as well. Did as you suggested but I have no such '.ini' file in there - only one called 'TrackIR Configuration Settings'.
Any helpful thoughts?

I don't think the problem lies with you after all. I think it's a Saitek problem. If I don't select the profile that I've created with their stick that tilde key menu appears as it should. I'm off to Saitek!

My original install was TrackIR 4 but I've updated it to 5. All is functioning just brilliantly BUT the communications menu that was linked to my ~ key with Flaming Cliffs has disappeared altogther. Is there any way in which it can be recaptured?

But wait...surely all I have to do is reconfigure/reassign the F keys, don't I?

I too am new to TR5 and am puzzled as to the use of the F9 to F12 keys. With FS X they provide useful alternative views but clash with TR5 as the F9 disenables the latter...as you know. How do I get to use both satisfactorily again?
