The port could be in also use by any other program that could have nothing to do with any other OptiTrack product. You can try to change the port number in the examples to see if it makes the difference.

I do not know VB, but you can check that the NatNet DLL is present in the system folders or in the working directory of your application.

They are already several source code examples in the SDK distribution :)

Tracking Tools and Arena send data to 224.0.0.1 and port 1001.
