That did it. I installed the TrackIr 4 software and the games started working. After reinstalling the TrackIr 5 software it works too. As it appears, the TrackIr 5 software might be lacking something for the TrackIR 4 hardware.

I think i'm having the same problem. I was running the Windows 7 Trial version since last year and switched to professional yesterday.
I have the TrackIr 4 and use the TrackIR 5 software. The headtracking is working in the TrackIr 5 software but not ingame (Tried ArmA2 and DCS).
