Er... never mind.
I don't know exactly what I have done, but now the light filter setting is staying there.

Sorry my bad: it only loses the setting after a reboot, not at any restart of the TrackIR software

More and more games run on Wine these days, and more users are switching to modern, user-friendly Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, but sadly enough, Track IR users are still forced to use Windows.
