I'll update this thread for completeness and to help others searching for info on a similar problem.
I've replaced the camera and the new one is working fine. That picture was caused by a failed camera.

Its just been sat on top of my monitor, same as always.
That shot was taken in a pretty much darkened room so I can't see that light interference is the problem. Moving the camera makes no difference.

This what my camera settings page looks like with the camera view. If I move the light filter bar to the left, greater, then I do get some sort of tracking. The number of objects fall and I can see my head, the camera seems to be way too sensitive for some reason. I haven't changed any settings in t...
