I have since resolved this with CH Control Manager. If not for CH I am not sure what I would have done. I am still disappointed that TrackIR is so easily confused...I will not fly, or drive in iRacing, for that matter, without TrackIR, which is surely one of the greatest products ever.

This is truly a problem...I had good luck with Trackir 5 using a CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, and CH MFP...the CH Control Manager seems to have kept Trackir from getting confused. I went to a MS Sidewinder FFB Pro joystick and Trackir can no longer keep it straight...I have always used Button 3...

Thanks for the quick response, Mike. I really wish that they had used different ID's for different games (aircraft) as really the needs are different, but just the fact that they are all Enhanced is by far the most important thing.

Just installed the demo version of X-Plane 10, and TrackIR 5 works fine for me EXCEPT that when I activate TrackIR my fps goes from for example 45 to 30 using my current rendering settings. In RoF or Il2 BoS I don't see ANY decrease in frame rate. Is there something about X-Plane 10 that causes this...

I solved my own problem...it seems that the name that appears in the drop down list is not the name of the profile file, but rather a name called out IN the profile file...all you have to do is open the XML document and edit it! How convenient. It might be good to be able to do it from within TrackI...

I am unable to rename profiles. As normal in Windows I can rename the file in the profile folder , but the new name is not reflected in the drop down list of profile names in TrackIR.
