is it possible to activate or deactivate motion with a single button press rather than having to hole the key down?

Hello,
just received my smartnav and although the mouse pointer move smoothly it only moves within a very limited range of motion.

Maybe something like a 5cm * 5cm square near the centre of the monitor.

Any ideas?
