Hey all,
I'm looking for a native Python lib to access VRPN data (NOT NatNet). I know the VRPN official lib has Python bindings but compiling it is a nightmare, pip does not return any result when searching for VRPN, maybe some of you know a library in some online public repo?
Thanks

[NatNet] get Rigid Bodies coordinates from their names
Hey guys, Is there a way to identify rigid bodies thanks to their names instead of their numerical ID using NatNet, just like VRPN does? I'm looking for the association rigid_body_name => (position, quaternion) , the NatNet protocol natively returns rigid_body_id => (its_center.position, its_center....

Re: Motive for incomplete body tracking
Thanks Dustin for this quick answer. What about the number and the location of markers on the suit? Do they follow a specific protocol or do we only select the set of markers at custom locations and define it as a skeleton which is automatically recognized? Also it looks like the markers sold for sk...

Motive for incomplete body tracking
Hi guys, I wonder if Motive:Body as well as a capture suits + hand kits are fine to track: * The upper body of someone who is seated at a table wearing the capture suit (is it necessary to define a full skeleton with legs for this use case?) * The hands of someone else wearing only a hand kit withou...

Motive import .tim and .cal files
Hi all, I've just transferred my optitrack project to a brand new PC. By opening the ttp file all rigid bodies and parameters are still there but the link to the calibration and coordinate system files has been lost. The three files (ttp, tim, cal) are in the same folder, how should I import them in...

Re: Repaint damaged spheres
Hi Dustin,
Thanks and sorry for this late reply.
I've been trying Starglow's Ultra-reflective paint without success it is not reflective enough.
Here is a comparison between a repaint marker and an original one:

Repaint damaged spheres
Hi all, I'm using spheres strongly glued to some objects. Since they are moving they damage a lot and very fast. Now I've reached a critical point where my spheres are too damaged to be properly recognized as is by software, and where I cannot replace them since I would also destroy my objects thems...

Deactivate circle filter
Hi all, I'm using Motive with a Trio V120 placed topdown, about 2 meters above participants having "hand rigid bodies" at their wrist (5 spheres each) moving in a 2x1m workspace. However the stability of the rigid bodies is a disaster, and this is apparently due to the circle filter that e...
