Re: Support for Motionbuilder 2020 / Maya 2022

Hi rhagen, Thanks for reaching out to the community regarding the plugins. We have been busy with some important work, as we are getting ready to release the much anticipated Motive 3.0. We hope to release this soon, and at that time we should be able to finalize updates for the Autodesk plugins. Un...

Re: Making .cal from .tak

My pleasure, When using the accuracy tool, Motive should look for the wand that is currently selected in the Calibrate pane. Unfortunately, I believe this was not working correctly for Motive 2.2. This should be fixed again going forward. For the time being, you could select the two markers to measu...

Re: Making .cal from .tak

Hello SubmarineCables, If you have a take that contains your calibration, you can export the calibration file from that. While you have the take open, just File->Export Camera Calibration. When you go back to live, you can File->Open the calibration that was exported from the take. I hope this helps...

Re: feature request: small audio meters

Hi Brad, Thanks for this feedback regarding the audio. You make an interesting point about the audio visual. We will likely not be able to implement this as a main feature, but it seems like an ideal candidate for scripting in the future. We will make a note about adding the ability to reference the...

Re: How to clear the buffer of the NatNet Python Client? I only want to query the latest data point?

Hello Ahmad, Thank you for reaching out to the community regarding the Python Client. The Python implementation is not the best sample we have, so if you are not too far along to consider a more complete method you could try the C++ examples included in our Ubuntu and Fedora versions of the SDK. 1. ...

Re: Reading timecode from an eSync 2 via camera sdk?

Hi antithing, We took a stab at this and were able to determine how to get the timecode from the eSync using the Camera SDK. Here are some instructions to get timecode out of the Camera SDK using the FrameRateCalculation sample as a starting point. Near the top of the document add: #include "string....

Re: mesh data/nodes for Clo3D

Hi SimonevanD, Our FBX files would likely not contain any meshes, since we only export the animated markers, rigid bodies and skeletons. I imagine that in an application such as MotionBuilder or Blender, you would need to retarget your animation to a rig that contains the required meshes. But this i...
