Re: SmartNav - no longer in production

Does this mean that SmartNav will no longer be supported? In the post directly above yours, we mentioned that ' There are no plans to stop support, or repairs at this point. ' Your concerns are valid but the only change is we are not selling new SmartNav units. We WILL support and repair all units ...

Re: Driver Linux

malpaso,

There are no plans to officially add Linux support to the TrackIR software, although there are ways of achieving that if you are set on making the integration happen. Search 'Linux TrackIR' on Google to find what you are looking for!

Re: TIR 4 versus 5

Mower, As you can see from the chart, TrackIR 5 features a huge upgrade in sensor sub-pixel resolution and field of view, which would eliminate the issues you are experiencing with the TIR4. In addition, you would get more effective range and LED power in the 5 which would help to overcome ambient s...

Re: The future of Track IR?

During the years I have often wondered why you guys at naturalpoint never have tried to be more aggressive in your marketing of this product? You make a good point! NaturalPoint is three different companies in one, OptiTrack, TrackIR, and SmartNav. We are actually a fairly small company and most of...

Re: TIR 4 versus 5

Mower,

I had to dig into the web archives for the old TrackIR website for this, but when we still sold the TrackIR 4 alongside the 5, this chart answers your questions :D

Re: Is the TrackClip Pro compatible with Arctis 3?

Githyanki, Thank you for your feedback, and for letting us know that the Arctis 5 doesn't directly work with our product. You bring up a great point that it would be really helpful to list on our site which headsets work with the TrackClip Pro, and a big part of that would be to bring in a sample of...

Re: Is the TrackClip Pro compatible with Arctis 3?

We don't have one in house to test (maybe I should order one! :D ) but from the pictures, it looks like the band may be a bit too wide to fit an unmodified TrackClip Pro mount. Did you end up ordering one to try?

Re: Track IR 5 Different Design ?

I have Track IR 5 but Different Design The back side is not transparent. I can not see the chipset on the back. What is the difference? Help. Thank you. Planet-X, Good eye! We did change the design slightly in late 2016. The PCB used to be two sided so that there was something to look at though the...

Kronovan,

Thanks for reaching out, and for letting us know about the opportunity! I'll shoot an email to them right now to start the conversation on implementing TrackIR into Starpoint.
