Are you speaking of the LEDs in the front of the TrackIR? They are visible Infrared LEDs, and will appear red at all times.

There are plenty of threads on this recent issue. It appears that a Windows 10 update removes the TrackIR drivers entirely. A simple uninstall and reinstall of the TIR software should fix it!

No need to switch back and forth, as the IR LEDs *shouldn't* interfere with the TrackClip Pro.

What adapter are you talking about? Every TrackIR 5 comes with a TrackClip in the box.
