Re: Windows Functionality
<t>OK, I looked back through my old posts (from 2003!), and what really happened was I bought a SmartNAV at the time. With the SmartNAV, I could use both software sets, but the TrackIR hardware could only use its own software.<br/> <br/> So I'm guessing the situation is still pretty much the same. I...

Windows Functionality
<t>Hi all.<br/> <br/> I bought a generation one TrackIR back in the day, and enjoyed it, but lost it at some point. I'm looking at buying a gen 4, but have one question.<br/> <br/> I remember that my TrackIR had full Windows mouse emulation capability. I think that I was able to install both the Tra...

Re: smartnav and trackir software
<t>The SmatNav hardware will allow either software set to be installed and used, although only one can be installed at a time. If you want to switch software, you will have to uninstall the one program and reinstall the other.<br/> <br/> The TrackIR hardware will only allow you to use the TrackIR so...

Re: Matrox Parhelia Surround Gaming and Track IR?
One clarification: the TrackIR software handles the multiple monitors better than the SmartNav software. With the TrackIR software, you don't need to set the speed that high, and you can scale the X and Y speed independantly.

Re: Matrox Parhelia Surround Gaming and Track IR?
<t>I've got the Parhelia and TrackIR running, and am happy to report that for the most part, it works pretty well. I have 3 21" CRTs and the camera is right in the middle.<br/> <br/> The biggest problem you have to deal with is that the side-to-side distance is pretty long, and you will have to set ...

Trade up for existing customers?
I bought a TrackIR recently (maybe 2 months ago) and am wondering if you are going to have any upgrade or trade up price for returning customers buying the version 2? Or trade in? Its not fun buying a product just before the updated version comes out..

Re: 360 Needs to be Fixed for FB
Sorry to jump back a few discussion topics here, but Dex, I have 3 beautiful 21" monitors and am going to get my Parhelia soon, and I wanted to know if this would work. Have you ever tried watching a DVD in widescreen spanned across the three monitors?

<t>Hi.. I am a potential customer, and I have been reading the forum for a little while now, but there's one thing I'm still unclear on. I am interested in and will probably buy the TrackIR, but I dont know if it will work with windows applications too, or just games.<br/> If it works with Windows, ...
