So are the current owners of TIR3 the orphans with no way to upgrade? I see where the conventitional Vector Pack is no longer available.

Is it necessary to have the TIR Hat for the unit to work properly? I recently lost my hat and the dots to the Katrina flood. I downloaded the software and the unit appears to be working. I am using a makeshift baseball cap with some reflective material on it but TIR does not like what it sees.
