Re: Capture space?
<t>Hi Tim:

We rent gymnasiums. The one I just used went for $55/hr. We found one out in the country for $12/hr. Warehouses don't always have power where you need it, and dust is bad for computers. However, we have to shoot at night due to windows in the gyms.

Just curious, how ...

Thanks Jim:...
Michael; I am a subscriber to your group, thanks starting that!

I'm looking forward to your product offering. If you'd like, I can pass on the functionality questions I've asked the other economical mocap providers about their products.
Again, good luck,
Michael Miles

Re: I'm ready to buy but I need the following solution
Hi Jim:
Good luck on the new product launch. I've posted a link to your message on the yahoo motioncapture group forum. We've got people chomping at the bit for a BVH mocap solution.
Regards,
Michael Miles (moderator yahoo motioncapture group)

Re: output to .bvh
<t>Hey Rob:

You're really beating the bushes...

Yoshi's optitrack system is planned to output BVH files, and should only be a few months or less before he's ready. As far as I know, he's the only one I've seen working on a biped mocap system using optitrack.

Michael<...

Re: Camera Lens calibration
Thanks Brich: We have one member of the yahoo motion capture group ( http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/motioncapture/ ) using Dr. Tomas Svoboda's multi-camera calibration toolbox for their OptiTrack implementation. If someone has access to Matlab, his toolbox is very user friendly and determines ...

Camera Lens calibration
Hi folks:
I've looked through your FAQ and the SDK documentation, and didn't find any mention of this topic. Does your SDK automatically compensate for the intrinsic camera parameters (lens radial distortion, pixel array decentering, and skew)?
Thanks, Scruff

Re: Another Newbie Question
<t>Hi Birch:

My pleasure. I'm fairly familiar with Dr. Tomas Svoboda's multi-camera calibration Matlab toolbox (which is free use software). I use DV cameras, but I've looked at your OptiTrack cameras in the recent past. The principles should be the same for your cameras.

The ...

Re: Another Newbie Question
Hi Monte: Moderator - I'm including a link to an associated site. This isn't spam, and I intend to provide support for math/programming issues related to motion capture on that forum that have a broader scope that also includes OptiTrack. I've started a new Yahoo group for motion capture system deve...

Re: Cable
<t>Hi Stephan:

You can get repeater USB cables that can extend up to about 15m total (at about 5m per cable). Keep in mind that you need to have a powered USB port or hub for this to work (which might be a problem for laptops).

Michael

[ January 11, 2006, 09:08 AM: M...
