Re: Will we be seeing updated software..

<t>Coffee, usually in the software world, having a lot of software updates is not a good sign.<br/> <br/> I'd say that NP has done a fine job in keeping their product bug free and feature rich for a long time. Good job guys!<br/> <br/> BTW - Is there a bug list forum somwhere? I haven't encountered ...

Re: Increase distance at which aircraft are shown

<t>Oh don't worry Warren, as I wasn't looking for advice from Naturalpoint in particular. I was hoping someone who uses this product has encountered the same issue and found a way to resolve it.<br/> <br/> I have posted on other forums as well and gotten the response that there is no way to address ...

Increase distance at which aircraft are shown

<t>While using CFS3 with my TrackIR in multiplayer I have found that I am a serious disadvantage against my human opponents who are using the padlock view. The reason being that their aircraft are only drawn as tiny dots only a few pixels wide until they close to just about 1 nautical mile.<br/> <br...

Re: Dealer Demos

Warren, Thanks for the reply. Just so that you know, I'm a very very pleased TIR4 user for the past month or so. I'm sure I could convince a few skeptical folks if they simply would try it out. Hopefully that will be the next time they pay a visit to my house. I think it would be a very good idea to...

Re: Not "smooth" at all!

Make sure you are sitting approximately 36" away from the TrackIR unit. It definitely made a difference for me.

Re: FPS Loss

<t>The optimum distance is supposed to be somwhere between 24" and 36" and about level with your forehead. I think I saw this mentioned in the manual.<br/> <br/> I started out at 24" inches and my FPS was taking a bad hit. When I pushed it as far back as possible on my monitor it sits almost at 36" ...

I fixed my problem on my own. Did you try the same thing I did yet?

Re: FPS Loss

Nope my frame rate stays right up there when using the hatswitch and the view panning mode in CFS3.

I drop to 14 FPS even when running with all the sliders set to 1 and in 800x600x16 graphics.

Re: FPS Loss

Problem solved!

I pushed the TrackIR as far away from me as possible and the problem is gone.

It was about 24" away before and now it's about 36" away from me. It is working just fine with a much smaller framerate hit.
