Has broken off it's base. What's the best way to repair?

Hello, my wife's cat recently got into my flight simming space and somehow broke my Track IR4 off it's base. The unit seems to still be functioning properly but he's sheared off the mounting dowel. Do you all think it would be safe to try a dab of super glue to re-attach? I'm afraid I'll lose my sid...
