Problem resovled: I uninstalled TrackIR again and restarted immediately. Then I restarted one more time, re-installed TrackIR and no response. I turned the PC off and gave up but this morning when I turned it on hey presto everything is working again!

The total size fo the 4 profiles in the folder is 6KB.

I was sure to remove everything when I reinstalled the software so I doubt a profile is corrupt.
