Re: DLP or rear projection tv
You have to set the width and height explicitely in the config.ini. I quote from the FAQ on www.airwarfare.com : "Can I play IL2 on my 16:9 Widescreen TV? As an example, a 16:9 widescreen with a native resolution of 1366x768: Open up conf.ini and put replace the section titled "[window]&qu...

Re: Combat Flight Simulator 3/Over Flanders Fields
<t>Well... I finally have some time, what with my holiday starting on monday. I'm going to install CFS on a machine which until now was definitely absolutely untouched by CFS and the TIR software. I will record all file-system and registry changes, which occur during the installation.<br/> Maybe thi...

Re: Combat Flight Simulator 3/Over Flanders Fields
<t>Please tell me, if it helped in any way. I tried the same thing with the same problem, to no effect.<br/> To me a complete reinstall of the OS with about 40 installed games, gigabytes of missions, mods, skins and setting up about 10 different applications is not an acceptable "solution" either.<b...

Re: Safe for your eyes?
If they were anywhere that close to sensitive as you imagine, you would be blind for a long time now.
Every light bulb, ever fire, everything that generates heat at all also generates infrared rays. And often with much more energy than the few milliwatt of the IR-Leds.

Re: Safe for your eyes?
<t>Yep, I believe it emits infrared. Like every television remote control does. AFAIK there are no health detrimental effects at all from infrared radiation.<br/> Well... at least not if you don't fry someone with say 10 kilowatts or so of power. <br/> TIR probably uses even less power than a tv rem...

Re: Safe for your eyes?
<t>Doh.... what "waves" are you speaking off? Is this a joke or will this detoriate to some bit of esoteric "quantum" mumble?<br/> <br/> It's simply some red LEDs and a camera. LEDs have very low Energy output and no harmful "rays" at all. Well, except if they would use Laser Diodes.<br/> Which they...

Re: beta4 software
<t>This sounds really bad <br/> I don't think, there should be such a drop in fps.<br/> Can you check, if you have V-Sync on or off ?<br/> Maybe there is only a small loss of fps by TIR directly, but enough that you fell info the "V-sync halfes the fps" trap ?<br/> Try it with VSync off and check if...
