Many thanks for the thorough explanation and right now everything seems to be working just fine with P3D not running as admin so all is good

Re: [FIX] Fix for Prepar3d V3
Mike, Maybe it would still be a good idea for you guys to look into what could cause this since in some cases the recommendation is to run P3D as admin for other reasons which as seen here in my case won't always be possible if you at the same time would like to use TIR. Let me know if I can provide...

Re: [FIX] Fix for Prepar3d V3
After reinstalling my PC from scratch I now have the very same problem, my TIR5 won't recognize P3D running. I'm already running both P3D as well as TIR as admin and I'm using the latest version of both P3Dv3 as well as the TIR software. As someone else said P3D without a working TIR isn't really th...

Re: TrackIR stops responding in Prepar3D v2.5
I received a special version which included a logging option so you might ask for it.
In my case all TIR issues stopped the moment I stopped using EFB which is very SimConnect intensive so whenever TIR stops working like this my experience (guess) it's due to SimConnect being flooded.

Re: TrackIR stops responding in Prepar3D v2.5
Sorry, maybe my last response was a bit unclear. What I meant was that you might also have some addon that makes heavy use of SimConnect and that might cause TIR to struggle for SimConnect bandwidth causing it to behave strange or eventually stop working.

Re: TrackIR stops responding in Prepar3D v2.5
Guessing here but since you say the issue occurs more frequently during MP sessions it's tempting to think it might in fact be a flooded SimConnect situation in your case too. As discussed above my problem seems to have went away since I stopped using EFB which did lots of communicating over SimConn...

Re: TrackIR stops responding in Prepar3D v2.5
Just thought I would post a short update. In my case it might have been another addon causing the issues, namely EFB by Aivlasoft. Since I stopped using EFB I have no stuttering issues anymore in P3D and TrackIR has been working perfectly. Since both EFB and TrackIR are using SimConnect my guess is ...

Re: TrackIR stops responding in Prepar3D v2.5
Is it possible to enable some kind of logging or debug mode in the TrackIR software that could give clues why the application all of a sudden crashes like this? I think I've already said it but I've checked the Windows Event logs both the application and system logs but neither one of these shows an...
