Hello, The slim3u does not have an IR LED Ringlight, so it is only able to detect active markers. If you are using passive markers, with retroreflective material, you could get an IR light 850nm band and shine the light from the same angle as the flex3u camera. Hello,
An Optitrack network switch should absolutely be dedicated specifically to Optitrack cameras and equipment. If you have the Network switch setup to VLAN, that would be fine, but not optimal.

The Prime 13 cameras will pull about 15.5W each, so your power allocation is not the issue, unless certain ports are allowed more power than others. Yes, there are external sync cables that will need to be connected to the cameras which daisy chain between your cameras. https://optitrack.com/accessories/cables-connectors/ at the very bottom
