Re: How to limit the down pitch in TrackIR4.

Mike: I have the TrackIR working properly for my set up now. Thanks for pointing out the mirror check box......I had forgotten about that. I unchecked the box for the "Pitch" and set the head down so that it is nil. I now can look all around except for the head pitch down as I had wished....

Re: What does further tracking distance mean?

I appreciate the explanation, Seth. That really does help a lot. I was unaware of the extent to which the profile curves could restrict or increase the range of motion. It seems like all I need to do is go over my X-axis configuration again and give it a little more thought. Thank you for the insight!

Additionally, you may want to examine the camera angle itself. If it is even slightly off-center or inclined downhill, the dot movement is compressed and you lose a lot of useable tracking range. This has had a significant impact, in my experience. The effective field of view can typically be increa...

Re: TIR 5 restricting my view to 'inside' cockpit - FSX

That's interesting I've encountered that as well! FSX handles the view limitations differently depending on the arrangement, which is kind of weird. It would be convenient if the "ghosting" problem in the cockpit had a straightforward toggle.
