i just thought i let you know that i today finaly got it to work.
i manage to get my hands on a windows copy that didnt have any attitude-problems....i must have tryed 7-8 different versions of Win XP.
but today i got it to work and i feel like a little kid on christmas day.

i have tryed them all and no luck.

i'll have to face the facts that the Pc won and i have stoped to try and install the software.

i have tryed all of the ways you mention Vincent but none of them work.
i have also tryed to instal another version of windows xp but that did not work either.
it still says that i should make sure that trackir software isnt running and after that the same error message.

i get a strange message that i "make sure i dont have trackir runing" then i get a "0x80040707" code dll function crash ISRT_wait on dialog. and the install aborts.
plz help me
