Re: let's talk about the future

Been using TrackIR5 in Star Citizen and it really doesn't have the fidelity to do it well. You can get it to work but the head control required really stresses the neck and means you cant play very long. When it works its great. Yeah, the ideal solution for a very fast-paced, high-precision, head-t...

Re: Custom Tracking Target

Hi Sapper, We don't enable custom configurations for our vector tracking (the 6 DOF tracking engine), because we want to ensure that the arrangement is very accurate to ensure the best tracking. However, if you are only looking to track a single LED, you can roll back to our 4.x software, which supp...

...and some more accurate head tracking for weapon aiming support. TrackIR 6.0 Should work without any track clip pro or hat. Should recognize your face and move the in-game camera according to your head movement It's interesting to see these two pieces of feedback juxtaposed. They both reflect coo...

Re: TrackIR 5 implementation frustrations

Hi Rectrix, That is indeed the mouse emulation utility that I was referring to. I'm not too clear on what you mean by the need to have it focused to function. If you could elaborate a bit more on what the issue is, our support team will take over in helping troubleshoot. You can find the keyboard ma...

Re: TrackIR 5 implementation frustrations

Hi Rectrix, Thanks for taking the time to articulate your concerns. I'll do my best to explain what TrackIR can and cannot offer you, as well as the reasoning behind the "cannots." Regarding software/hardware interoperability: TrackIR hardware is only compatible with TrackIR software, in p...

Re: let's talk about the future

Hi Olivier, There are plans! Right now we're working like madmen on a different product line (our OptiTrack motion capture product), so that has a lot of focus from our engineers. We have some cool stuff that will be in the works before too long, though, on the TrackIR line. I can't give any detail ...

Re: -= THE CREW =-

I just heard back from the dev team, and it sounds like TrackIR support is still very much on the roadmap. They didn't indicate why they had to postpone implementation, but they did assure me that it was coming. :-)

Re: -= THE CREW =-

Hi sicmaggot. Thanks for the tip! Have you tried using the Mouse Emulation utility that's included with the TrackIR software installation? (It's the TIRMouse.exe application.) In theory , it should provide access to the same type of mouse emulation as the tool you mentioned, but without needing to d...

Re: Games with Oculus Rift support but not TrackIR

Still it's entirely another thing to stand back and let new games lauch solely with Rift support. Agreed! We're not doing this, though. :-) We are actively chasing these kinds of opportunities down, and a handful of titles have already been supported because of these efforts (Darkfield VR comes to ...
