Repair enquiries?

<t>I sent my SmartNav off to the states for repair at the beginning of December (RMA #XXXXX-XXXXX). It's been a month and a half- I've allowed for the Christmas rush, but now I'm starting to wonder where it is (and my arms would like to stop bearing the load!)<br/> <br/> Is there a process by which ...

Re: Tracking, but not working,

Email sent.

Alexandria, have you tried moving/jiggling the connection (while wearing a dot/cap)? Does the green light come on or at least flicker?

Re: Tracking, but not working,

<r>Hi Jeff,<br/> <br/> I've diagnosed mine. It's the socket at the back of the smartnav unit. <br/> <br/> I tried installing it on another computer and still had the symptoms. A post in another thread suggested "making sure it's all the way in", which I'd tried, but I managed to make it work by pull...

Re: Tracking, but not working,

Re: Tracking, but not working,

It seems to be similar to this issue: http://forum.naturalpoint.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=32506 Other things I've noticed about it: -It seems to work sometimes on my work PC and never on my home one. -It stops working (freezes) if the reflector gets closer than about 10 inches...

Tracking, but not working,

<t>My SmartNav is running on Win7 64. It started working intermittently a few weeks ago, and now doesn't work at all. You start it up, and all LEDs blink as they should. Then the green light goes out, and nothing appears in the camera view. The SmartNav does nothing.<br/> <br/> However, if you go in...

new cable?

<r>My SmartNav 4 is 3 years old and is working intermittently. I believe it's the cable and would like to get a new one.<br/> <br/> Can I buy them separately? Is it a standard type of cable I should be able to get at electronics stores (I live in Australia)?<br/> <br/> EDIT: You can use a standard m...

Re: Reflector cap degradation?

Check that- it's not the reflector, it's that it's only working intermittently now :(

Re: Accuracy of pointer on hi-res screens

<t>I'm a software dev running my SmartNav 4 on a three-monitor setup, each monitor is on 1920 x 1080, and I've never had any problems. <br/> <br/> The issue isn't so much the camera as your neck muscles. It takes a couple of weeks for the movement to become natural, but once you have a bit of practi...

Reflector cap degradation?

<r>Hi guys,<br/> <br/> I've had my SmartNav 4 three years now, almost to the day! I thought it had stopped working, but it turns out that it isn't seeing the reflector at the front of the cap any more.<br/> <br/> The wierd thing is, it can see the reflector at the back when I turn the cap around! <b...
