Re: Connecting to MotionBuilder

<t>
Hello,<br/> <br/> 4. It is possible if you have high spec machine, but it's generally better to run MotionBuilder on separate PC. On my 2GHz DualCore laptop, just running MotionBuilder causes CPU usage to go 50%.
<br/> <br/> I actually run ARENA and MotionBuilde...

Camless dongle?

<t>We're finding that we're using ARENA after a session to clean up and transfer data to MotionBuilder. The problem is that to use ARENA in our offices, we need to physically take the locked camera with us.<br/> <br/> In future:<br/> <br/> 1. Could we have an option to lock the software to a hardwar...

Re: 3 actor support?

Thanks. I'm on a quad 2.66 machine right now, but I might try switching to one of my 8 core Mac Pros running XP if I need it.

By the way, any diagrams for configuration/layout of 18 cameras yet?

Thanks.

Re: 3 actor support?

Oh, and before anyone says anything, yes, I know the 34 markers would not be a true rigid body. I'm merely suggesting assigning them to one to get them into MotionBuilder.

3 actor support?

<t>For my needs, 3 simultaneous actors is the sweet spot. So:<br/> <br/> 1. Is the 2 actor limit currently just a software limitation?<br/> <br/> 2. If so, could I get around the limitation by adding a third actor, selecting all the markers for that actor, creating a 34 marker rigid body in Arena, t...

Re: Problem resuming Motionbuilder session

Bummer. If I do that, can I first save the marketset and reapply it, or do I need to manually have to reassign them again?

Problem resuming Motionbuilder session

<t>If I have Arena streaming to MotionBuilder, then save the MotionBuilder project and reload it, the streaming no longer works. I still see the data reachingMotionBuilder, but it doesn't seem to be affecting the actor anymore.<br/> <br/> The actor also still seems to have the marker set working.<br...

Re: Skeleton calib necessary with MotionBuilder?

<t>So - forgive my complete ignorance - MotionBuilder is still using Arena's skeleton tracking, even though we're assigning points to the MotionBuilder actor skeleton? I'd assumed that Motionbuilder was just looking at the labeled points coming from Arena and ignoring their skeletal relationships.<b...

Re: Skeleton calib necessary with MotionBuilder?

Exactly, or, just as importantly, create a skeleton with more markers for improved tracking during occlusion.

Skeleton calib necessary with MotionBuilder?

<t>Since we're just applying markers to the MotionBuilder skeleton within MotionBuilder, do we actually need to perform the skeleton calibration in Arena? Could we just create generic rigid bodies from the markers to bring them into MotionBuilder?<br/> <br/> Also, do the markers only come across to ...
