Re: No function in CFS3
<t>Thanks for the information, Vincent!<br/> <br/> So, to summarize: Code in a TIR-dll checks if MS-CFS3 is running (or other older apps). <br/> Something goes wrong in some installations of TIR/CFS3 and either CFS3 doesn't register itself correctly, so isn't seen as running or there is some problem...

Re: No function in CFS3
What he means is the "special" file which apparently hooks into the communication between CFS3 and the input, as compared to other games.
You mentioned that this was done by a special file/program with CFS3, rather than TIR-Support being directly coded into CFS3.

Re: TrackIR switching on/off mid-game
Switching the LEDs off: You can find this, when you use the settings button on e.g. the track or heads view window.

Re: 4.1.029a3 hangs on exit
Yep, I mean the "File/Exit" menue. It happens the same way, regardless if I', just clicking on the "Close Window" Symbol or use the "File/Exit" menu-entry.

Re: 4.1.029a3 hangs on exit
By clicking on the "close" X in the upper-right hand window. Also happens with "Menue/Exit" I think, but have to verify that later.
"Close to tray" is unchecked.

Re: No function in CFS3
Sounds exactly like my problem, got the same. I guess it is related to the slightly different method of interacting between TIR and MFS3 than with other apps, Vincent mentioned.
I guess it hooks itself somewhere between the input and CFS3 and for some reason it doesn't work for us

Re: 4.1.029a3 hangs on exit
<t>I checked again.... whats actually happening is this:<br/> When I exit (check for news and confirm close checkbox are off), the CPU-load in task manager for the Track-IR.exe goes to 99%. I can exit the application, not by killing it in the task manager, but also by clicking on the close symbol (x...

Re: 4.1.029a3 hangs on exit
Yep,
good idea but isn't the case. My TIR is allowed access to the internet, also confirmed access after the update to a3 (using sygate firewall, which checks for changed exes since last access was allowed.). I generally grant "Allowed" to tools like TIR, after the first access attempt.

In the TrackIR folder, default install C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint\TrackIR4, in the profiles folder. what is the file size for the profiles listed here. Hi Vincent, Priority is normal. the ...
