The TrackIR can work with a HMD, people have had good luck using several of the different HMD's on the market.
The TrackIR software can be adjusted to give a 1:1 movement ratio if you would like.

Kevin

Re: Compatability with Windows 98se
The SmartNAV is compatible with 98SE. You may want to make sure the unit is being plugged directly into the USB port on the motherboard and not in to a hub.
Please make sure you have the latest drivers for your unit installed as well.

Kevin

Re: Linux support?
The SmartNAV does not act just like a normal USB (HID) mouse. It requires special drivers which are not yet available for Linux.
Thank you for your interest in the SmartNAV.

We are looking in to reselling the microphones. I would suggest a nice Creative Labs or Labtec headset.

Hello Cannon,
I have forwarded your feedback to our developers and have made a feature request. I am not sure when you may see the features though.
I just wanted to let you know your feedback is appreciated and has been noted.

Re: Emulation of VR helmets
We do have a mouse emulation application that should be able to function in the games you mentioned.
We have a 30 day trial period so you could always get the unit and test it out in the games you want to play.

Kevin

Re: Mouse Emulation
The mouse emulator will only work in the Active Window.
When playing a game it becomes the active window and mouse emulation should work.
