What does Locking Computer do to SmartNav Hot Keys?
<t>I lock the computer, keep SmartNav running, leave and come back to the desk, unlock the computer... I find that the SmartNav Hot Keys refuse to work, while the tracking still seems to be normal. Exit & Restart SmartNav fixes the problem, but I wish to not have to remember that every time I st...

Re: Can SmartNav emulate the scroll wheel on my mouse?
<t>In addition to my previous comment, I have been integrating the use of a 3D mouse (a 3DConnexion product), which works well with 2009 and later versions of AutoCAD. Actually a 3D mouse is not really a mouse in that it has nothing to do with the cursor/pointer, which is controlled via SmartNav. A ...

Re: Can SmartNav emulate the scroll wheel on my mouse?
<t>The CAD (AutoCAD 2010 in my case) uses the scroll wheel for real time zoom. The application also lets you 'pan' the view by click & dragging with the wheel button.<br/> <br/> I tried it with SmartNav's Scroll option. Real time zoom works just as you would expect. However, I'm not able to 'pan...

? Num Lock's turning off by itself
<t>Since I added SmartNav and Kinesis foot switch, the Num Lock started turning off every 15 to 30 minutes.<br/> <br/> I'm not able to tell which device is causing this to happen.<br/> <br/> I'm wondering if anyone using SmartNav and/or Kinesis Elite USB foot switch on Windows XP x64 has had the sam...

Re: Question about SmartNav Hot Keys & Key Activated Mode
Thank you for the helpful advice.
It does seem like how well SmartNav can be used depends so much upon what users can make out of the control panel. I'm glad all options for making minor adjustments are there, although it does take a few moments to get used to all of them.

Re: Question about SmartNav Hot Keys & Key Activated Mode
<t>Thank you.<br/> <br/> Since my last post I have changed my foot switch function from "move" to "pause", so the foot switch acts more like a brake pedal for the pointer (and this allows me to set a separate key for "center" function). This setup is opposite of how I used the foot switch before, bu...

Re: Registry Key Error
The IT person installed the driver for me as the system administrator.
I'm operating the device on my employee account, which has limited access. I'm not using the system as an administrator.
Thank you.

Registry Key Error
Registry Key Error is issued from SmartNav Control Panel when I load a saved profile or delete one from the list. - Is this a common problem, and what does it mean?
