That can do it, the distance you are from the camera effects the distance between the markers in the cameras view. With the markers closer to the sweet spot (30"), they will react better and have a lesser chance of occluding eachother or tracking poorly.

Hmm, interesting. I'm not sure why reinstalling changed the behavior either. Did you reinstall the same version or update?

Usually.
Some times you have to make adjustments to the TrackIR, sometimes you have to put it behind you and wear the clip backwards. It depends entirely on the rest of the setup and what's in your line of sight to the projector.

Yeah, that's an unfortunate issue that's in our developers hands, but on higher than 1920x1080 it tends to get a bit buggy.
