You might try checking out the old third party TrackingTools LabView project. It uses the TT/Motive API. This would need to be updated for Motive, but might provide insight:

Motive cannot be registered to a camera. You can register Motive on the old hardware key However, I will need you to create a ticket with us at help.naturalpoint.com if you want the license moved from the old hardware key to the new hardware key (when it arrives).
