Re: Heads/body jolts and Ground captures
<t>Hi Koan,<br/> <br/> This is a little off-topic, but 18 hours for 10 seconds sounds like a lot--are you rendering in Poser? I've found Poser to be really slow to render in. I use Poser (Daz) figures as well, but I've always used Cinema 4D for rendering, and it's a lot faster, and there are plugins...

ARENA and Poser
<r>I have an 8-camera system, and am presently formulating a workflow for Arena-to-Poser (and then rendered in Cinema 4D). So I was wondering how many other Arena owners are taking their BVH into Poser? I've found it to be a somewhat quirky process so far, and was wondering if others have come acros...

Camera operating conditions
What is the acceptable hot and cold range for operating the Optitrack cameras? How vulnerable are they to humidity/dampness?

Re: Capturing Facial Animation
<r>When you say that you are working on special support for programs like Poser, do you mean just for facial capture, or do you mean for full-body mocap as well? Direct support for Poser would be sweet! As for Daz, maybe not Daz Studio, but support for the Daz figures (which are much better than the...

Capture space?
<t>I have an okay space for a capture volume at home, but I was just curious where other people have found space to set up in. 20'x20'x8' is a pretty big area to find--I wasn't able to find anything like it in my area for love or (affordable) money, but I'm wondering if I've overlooked any possibili...

Re: Camera numbers?
Yes--it would be helpful for calibration so you'd have an easier time looking to the camera and the window on the screen--also for directing the actor to say "face camera 4" etc., since they'd be in a more predictable pattern. Not a big deal, but it would be convenient.

Re: Adding new cameras to Foundation Package
<t>When I set up in a circle at 14' the capture volume was really small--I'm thinking there's a exponential drop off in volume with distance rather than a linear one. When I moved the cameras out to the corners of the 14' space, then they were 18' apart rather than 14', and covered substantially mor...

Re: Camera numbers?
Is there any way to get them to initialize or show up sequentially?

Re: 8 Camera setup: height of lower cameras? Pointing?
<t>Thanks! Unfortunately 7.5' is all I have for the space I'm working in. I'll try it with the overlap--I was planning to just cheat them a little high/low to give me a little more play with the hight since I know I'm not at optimal hight or distance. I'll let you know how it works out.<br/> <br/> T...

Camera numbers?
What determines the numbers that show up on the cameras? It seems kind of random.
