Re: New Trackir 5

Hello,

This sounds like the right LED went bad. The green LED is only for status-indication, so even if this LED is dim, it shouldn't affect overall tracking. Please submit a ticket at http://help.naturalpoint.com/ so that we can assist you with the repair if needed.

Thank you,

Re: Windows 10 not working with any updates since v5.2.2

Hello, This seems like a problem specific to the computer and its configuration. Have you tried re-installing the Visual C++ redistributable? TrackIR uses Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x86) - 12.0.30501. , you could maybe try uninstalling that and reinstalling it using the TrackIR inst...

Re: trackir and steering wheel conflict

Hello Jchoa13, We have discussed this issue over the email already, but I am going to share this so that other users are aware. We narrowed this issue down to be extraneous IR lights that appear as you rotate the wheel, this problem was resolved by covering up those extra illuminations. In general,...

Re: Inverted roll after 90°

Hello everyone, Did this start happening more after the windows update? The problem discussed in this thread sounds like a gimbal lock problem that happens when the head orientation reaches ~90 degrees. At this orientation, one of the rotation axes may get lost due to gimbal lock and the head roll ...

Re: USB 2.0 or 3.0?

Hello Ian. It's better to use USB 2.0 for the USB camera system. USB 3.0 protocol has a more strict limitation on the allowed cable length (~3 meter) compared to USB 2.0 (~5 meter) which could negatively affect the camera setup and result in dropped data. For this reason, use of USB 2.0 port is rec...

Re: Stuttering/Erratic movement

Hello, It looks like this is happening when you turn the head 90 degrees, or more, to look straight towards the right. At this point, the software might get confused in determining the orientation because the markers form a symmetrical shape in the captured frame. I believe this is what's happening ...

Re: how to zoom out and save it?

Hello, Have you tried re-centering the position while you are in the game? By default, the hotkey for this is F12. Also, it looks like there is zoom-in and zoom-out features in Prepare3D. Looking through the online, it looks like the hotkey for these are = and -. I would try reconfiguring this as we...

Re: TrackIr5 device not connected

Hello, Does the device get properly recognized in the Device Manager in Windows? If the driver is properly installed, it should get listed under NaturalPoint group. You could also try removing some of the registries after uninstalling the software and before reinstalling it. That might resolve the i...
