Re: Quick review of TrackIR 5 software

<t>Just a follow-up here.<br/> <br/> I just purchased TIR5 and have officially retired my TIR4 after three intense years of use. I have to admit that I felt a little extravagant since TIR4 has served me so well but after several hours of flight with TIR5, I have realized what a huge improvement it i...

Re: TrackIR software 5.0 beta 4 available

<t>First, thank you very much for addressing pretty much all the complaints I posted early in the beta phase. I know lots of others echoed those requests so I know I'm not THAT special but still, that's pretty fantastic!<br/> <br/> I decided to purchase TIR5 and just took shipment on it today. After...

Re: Quick review of TrackIR 5 software

Thank you for the thoughtful and specific replies. You guys obviously want to get this right and I really appreciate that. We've been chatting about creating a tool to convert your 4.x profiles to 5.0. The feasibility hasn't been completely evaluated, but it's something we're looking into. Thank you...

Quick review of TrackIR 5 software

<t>I'll just point out the negatives here (to save space) except to say that V5 is really going to be nice once everything gets ironed out. I especially love the "in the cockpit of a Spitfire" view and set that as my default because it gives you the best sense of how it is going to behave ingame.<br...

TrackIR4 setup instructions

Since I help a lot of people with their TrackIR4 devices, I have been developing this document that details all the elements of setup.

Thought it might be helpful to share it here.

Hope you find it useful.

Re: set priority

<t>Thank you Vincent. Nothing that FSAutostart can't handle.<br/> <br/> BTW, setting the priority to AboveNormal not only fixed the stuttering and jittering, it also solved the "lap snap" problem too! I've even moved my TIR back to where it is supposed to be on top of my monitor (I had it 4 feet awa...

Re: set priority

I guess I'm talking to myself here but I decided to try solving this using VB Script. My plan is to put this script in my "Startup" directory so it will start at system boot time. What I don't know is whether the script will get read BEFORE or AFTER TrackIR starts up!? If it runs BEFORE (a...

set priority

<t>I made a wonderful discovery tonight! I have experienced little jitters and pauses since the day I bought this TIR4. I read somewhere on this forum to try and up the priority of the TrackIR process to "AboveNormal." It works beautifully!<br/> <br/> However, I have been trying to make the change p...

Re: TIR4 bug with Aces High

FYI

It appears I was just lucky.

I posted my "success" on the Aces High forum and one of the guys tried my trick of moving the unit out to four feet. It did not work for him.

Re: TIR4 bug with Aces High

Vincient,
Wasn't trying to be hateful. Just reporting my finding after trying all sorts of things.

Thanks for all the help. Sorry I stirred up so much dust over this.
