What is auto pan anyway?
For left and right clicking, you could use something like the Swifty along with your choice of ability switches to allow clicking independent of the SmartNav or Trackir software.

I've tried your suggestions, but nothing seems to help. Reverting back to the old software resolves the issue. Not sure what else to tell you.
