Enhanced TrackIR for Grand Prix Legends

JSJ has recently released a new alpha version of his outstanding GPLShift utlity, version 0.590, that adds support for TrackIR enhanced mode in GPL! Both left and right and up and down views are supported! It makes the game so much more realistic feeling. I highly recommend trying it out if you own a TrackIR. It works really well! I have been looking forward to this for a couple of months. It works beautifully and my profile for F1C fits it very well.

Hi guys

I talked to him over a year ago about the possibility. I remember he said he would look into it, but I never heard anything else from him. Glad to know he continued the idea.

I just wonder if his app would work in NR03? With the GTP mod coming, it would certain spark my interest in the game a bit more.

If you talk to him again, let JSJ know there's at least one other person who would jump at downloading that update.

I assume you already know, TailFlamer, that TIR 2/3 in enhanched mode is working for NR2003, with PPJoy and the TIR2joy exe's?

But, it seems a bit choppy when moving from side to side. Anyone else notice that? It's very playable as is and I don't even consider playing without it.

If we could get the fluid side to side panning, though, like we have now in GPL with JSJ's update, that would be very cool.

JSJ was asked about NR2003 and he said he had no plans on doing anything for it.

It does work great in GPL though, so I'm certainly juiced about that!!

Great news. Now i've got enhanced mode in all the games i really care about! Super.

But N2003? I've been using Track-IR (in enhanced mode) in N2003 for over a year!

I can't get it to work in GPL at all.

Is there a set of instructions as to what needs to be done from a point of view of GPL / GPLShift / and TrackIR profile ?

Look and set it in GPLshift.ini:

[ LOOK LEFT/RIGHT ]
Left_Right_Mode = 1.TIR

The AUTOLOAD of GPL profile (gpl.tir) does not work yes it's up to NP to support it in the next
NP software, (I have asked for it!)

That did it. I was using just TIR. Sorry .. my bad.

Now I just have to work out how I can get more movement.
