How about a holiday gift? I see all the SmartNav 3s are out of stock. Christmas rush? Or are the new 4s now using all production facilities? I know you will not give us a release date for SmartNav 4 till it's ready, but how about just a hint about when we can expect an announcement or press release? Maybe just what month you expect to have the secrets revealed to us? I had hoped to get a SmartNav 4 from Santa! Oh well.

Hoping for something within the next 4 to 6 weeks, but this could be subject to change.

Any updates on this?
Im so tempted to buy the v3 currently, but i'm trying to hold out for the new version.
Is there going to be much of a difference between the v3 and the v4?

Hello:

Actually, v3 has sold out. v4 is really quite different and a major upgrade, it is worth waiting for. We have been developing it for quite a while and it addresses a lot of the issues with v3.

Improvements include:
- 3X resolution (better cursor control)
- new metal mounting system (for LCD monitors and laptops)
- longer range, up to 5' from the unit
- better lighting and sunlight immunity (no more window problems)

We should have it out soon. The pricing will be similar to the current unit.

Ok sounds like a considerable upgrade!
As i live in Australia, will this be available here at the same time as they are released?

It will be on the web site first, and you can order off there, but the shipping is expensive. We do have dealers in Australia, but it will take a bit to get to them.

Thanks for news. I see from the home page you have gone public that SmartNav 4 will be available in February 2008! Great news my new gaming system will be in next week. Perfect timing!
