Mitigating Motion Sickness

Post by seti »

The first two days I used the Smart Nav I felt sick. But it's easy to get rid of that. Look at how you use a regular hand based mouse and see what exactly the difference is. The trick is that when you use a hand mouse you don't follow the mouse around everywhere it goes; you just direct your eyes to wherever you want to click and do it without thinking.

So stop focusing on the pointer icon and following it to where you want it to go. Instead, look at where you want to click and hold that point with your eyes/mind and make the mouse follow. Also temporarily disabling the Smart Nav with a hotkey when you're reading a long page helps as well.
