comparing smartnave old verses new

Post by mach888888 »

Hi
can there be? or is there a chart comparing old smartnav with this latest version?
Still debating about trade up.
Saying just improved light filtering is not specific enough for me.
I was hoping something more technical.
Like why/how is it better light filtering. Tired of working in the dark right now.
I want to work in a bright room with no curser twitching anywhere.
I though i read somewher the field of view for moving head increased to?
If so why was this done exactly?
Do i have my facts straight?

Can anyone tell me if serial number 008827 can be traded up?
thanks

Hello,

The light filtering has been improved by enhancing the hardware; it is smarter now and can automatically filter out light for most situations. For situations where there are lots of lights we created new algorithms in the software to allow for customizing the level of light filtering you would like.

The field of view was increased in the TrackIR4, not the SmartNAV. The SmartNAV3 field of view is more than adequate for the applications it was designed for and will not be changed for the foreseeable future.

Anyone who has an older SmartNAV is eligible for a trade-in. The prices for someone trading in any older SmartNAV are:

Going to a SmartNAV3 Standard - $149
Going to a SmartNAV3 EG - $224
Going to a SmartNAV3 AT - $299

Please post if you have any follow up questions.

Thanks,
Kevin
