Smartnav 4AT

Hi there. I have been using a natural point smartnav 4 AT as a hands-free mouse for some years now. Unfortunately it has been discontinued and my unit is fairly erratic due to age. My question is that it is possible to use the TrackIR 5 gaming infrared unit for general mouse control? (With dwell click functionality). I am a quadriplegic and rely on this for all of my screen interaction.Hope you can help. Thanks
