Smartnav for 3D editing?

Hi,

Does Smartnav allow you to track depth. It could be a cool tool for 3D animators for positioning their 3D bones of their character by using the ring. You could then simply point at a bone and move it up in the right position. That's a more natural way of animating.

Currently the SmartNAV software only tracks the x and y movement of an object.
