New hard drive. Cannot activate Vector Expansion

Post by Myron D. Freeman »

Hi everybody;
I've used TrackIR and Vector Expansion for years but last week my hard drive went bad and I installed a new one. I re-installed TrackIR OK (I think) but I haven't been able to activate Vector Exspansion yet. I've got all of the actiation numbers but can't find where to enter them. Need help, Dan.

Now I've got TrackIR version 3.1 from the install disc and the activation email that I just received says that I must have version 4.0 but I noticed that there is a version 4.1.038 Final and also a version 5.1.3 Final, how should I proceed?

OK, I do have Windows XP and an ATI video card so it says to use version 4.1.038. Got it.

OK, everything seems to be installed correctly and the Vector Expansion label is blue.

Thanks for the help, LOL. Man what a morning.

Hello -

Sorry for the lack of a reply, these appear to have come in over Saturday morning, and our offices are open 9am-5pm pacific time Monday through Friday. It looks like you got everything taken care of, though!

Yes, I worked my way through it and got everything up and running fine now.
I had backups of everything on an external hard drive and that was a big help. Thanks.

P.S. I now have a battery backup so power outages shouldn't harm my computer any more.
