TrackIR always crashes after re-install

After having a system meltdown I had to re-install all my flight sim software including TrackIR5. Just to make sure, I downloaded the latest version Version 5.2.2 - Final.
However the TrackIR program always crashes just after loading. :mad:

I have included 2 error reports and sxstrace report for any techy guys to pour over 'cause I don't have any idea what they mean :crazy:

Well I've just tried loading with ver.4 and it works OK except that UI I terrible when you are used to ver.5 :mad:

It would have been nice to have had an answer from NaturalPoint, perhaps I was looking for too much.

Sorry for the delay in getting to you on this one. This is something we've seen an increased number of reports on lately and we are searching for a a resolution. Are you using Flight Simulator X?

Thanks for the reply, sorry about my last comment I was just trying to provoke a response and it worked. :grin:

Yes I am using Flight Sim X Acceleration.

Before I go any further I must say that I have just this minute trying a work around posted in a different part of the forum to disable the TIRViews.dll and hey presto the old girl fired up with no problem. :D

I assume the boffins at NaturalPoint are working on this problem as it seems to be rife amongst TrackIR users.

I've taken the liberty of including my system specs which may be of some help.

Just as a matter of interest I have found on many occasions that the user settings that have been altered are not saved. The only way to make sure the settings are changed is to edit the settings.xml and make the alterations there. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem?

Has there been a fix for this issue? I am too having the same problem. At the moment I have just simply stopped using my TrackIR.

Jeff or anyone from Natural Point, can this issue be looked at soon please. I'm not able to use the my TrackIR at all at the moment,

Djkay, sorry for the delay in response. We are not in the office on the weekends. I received your ticket that you submitted at help.naturalpoint.com

This issue is still being looked into. I would suggest trying the work around that worked for Wilco. Edit the settings.xml and make the alterations there. You could try running as an administrator.
