Hi Ls,
Let me understand what is happening first.
The TrackIR2 is jerky in both Absolute and Relative modes?
Is this happening in any particular game, or all games?
Can you confirm that you are logged on as administrator on your computer?
You say that “mouse tracking is smooth in the game but won't respond when the trackir interacts with dot on my cap” could you be a little more specific?

in the main TrackIR2 box that appears on your screen when you load the program the tracking section where it picks up the dot or baseballcap is lovely and smooth
but when i click to go to the motion section of the box (where you see the actual dot mimicking where you point your head) is all jerky, i guess its supposed to be as smooth as the tracking section when tracking
when i boot up F1C challenge and attempt to move my head with the TrackIR2 device its all jerky like in the motion section
yet if i am to physically move the mouse whilst in the game its totally smooth like it is in the tracking section
despite wether i sit right up close to the TrackIR2 device or lean back into my chair its still jerky
The device can pick up the smooth tracking action when i have selected the tracking action so i'm presuming that the device is'nt faulty
just stumped as to whats causing the jerkiness in the motion section
i have downloaded the 3.3 version of the software and got to function in F1C and they can't see why its jerky
thanks for responding

Hi Ls,
I find it odd that TrackIR2 is behaving this way. Regardless if you are in the tracking or the motion windows this does not have any direct effect on the smoothness of the unit unless you alter any settings of course.
It would appear that we have some other problem, so I would like to suggest that I talk to you on the telephone to better get an understanding of what could cause the jerky and erratic curser that you have described.
I have e-mailed also.
