Entire Tracking window is green...

I got my TIR3 a few weeks ago.

It works great, mostly..!

Sometimes the view won't move, and when I look in the Tracking window it's all green. Covering the TIR lens don't change anything, so it's not a static problem.
One time I could see the reflective dot as a black spot on a green background...

Unplugging the TIR and plugging it in again solves the problem.

Anyone seen the same..?

I get the same problem. I reinstall everything and it works for a day. The next time I go to run it , its the same thing again.

It has something to do with the USB control assignments. This seems to happen if I sometimes plug in a seperate USB device and the driver is losing communication with the receiver.

NaturalPoint is looking into this but meantime keep an eye on what you do between games where it works and then doesn't and post anything you find here.

I have the same problem. Same fix: Close NP software, unplug/replug USB, reopen softeware.

This sounds very odd.

I have a few checks that I would like you to check for me.

Do you have the "Run at Startup" checked, and using the 3.10 drivers?

Do you turn off the unit before shutting down your computer?

Are you running through an un-powered hub?

When this happens are you connecting anything to your computer at the time?

Keep me updated with this, is there any more info that you can give me so that I can help.

It only happens once in a while, and re-connecting the USB plug fixes the problem.

Ditto for me. This is an intermitent problem that occurs less than 10% of the time with no discernable pattern. Fix is always the same: Unplug/plug USB connection.

Could you check your event viewer to see if there is anything logged?

While the software is running unplug the unit from the USB port and plug the unit back in, if the unit does not work un-plug the unit and re-connect a second time.

This will help to determine the fault.

I bought my Track IR3 Pro the other day, had it shipped over here from the states, but it didn't work. My trackingscreen was all green.

I read this thread at work, and got home eagerly expecting my completely green screen to go away.

No such luck.

I have tried connecting and disconnecting with and without the software running, and the screen is still as green as Central Park.

EDIT: I tried to uninstall and reinstall again. I do get one "bugreport" when I do this. When the uninstaller asks if you want to clean your usb reg settings, and I press yes, there is a setting that cannot be reset/removed in the following folder:

SYSTEM\CurrentCOntrolSet\Enum\USB\Vid_131D&PID_0155

Dunno if this is important, but the trackingscreen is still all green after the reinstall. The only time I get any "response" in the screen at all is when I play around with the dotsize and camera sliders ... Red and black flickering on the screen, then back to complete green.

Just wanted to clarify:

Yes, I am running the latest software, downloaded from the supportsection about a week ago.
No, I am not using a hub of any kind
No, trackIR does not run at startup
Yes, all the lights are working on the unit
Yes, the program reads "tracking" and shows no sighn of malfunction.

I think this products promised excellence is worth making a personal effort with regards to fixing. I most definitely think this product is expensive enough to expect a response to a malfunction like this.

Since I posted over a weekend, I am willing to wait for an answer, but not for an eternity.
