I get this semi-regularly as well, and unplugging, re-plugging fixes it. Can't be anything to do with printing since I don't have a printer attached to my computer.

This time the screen was black but was not registering a signal, even though a had the reflective sticker on.
Once again unplugged and plugged back in fixed it.

Has there been any news on a fix for this? I have to unplug mine every 2 days now.
