idea: precision mode when mouse in use

I've had TrackIR for close to a month now. I use it almost exclusively in Flight Simulator 2004, and this morning when I woke up I had an idea. The one activity that's a little tough when using TIR with Flight Simulator is clicking on buttons in the virtual cockpit. Even with practice, it's hard to hold quite still enough to do this with precision.

I know, that's what precision mode is for. My idea is this: include a switch in the drivers (like the one for "Blue Light goes on when enhanced mode software is in operation") that will switch TIR to precision mode AUTOMATICALLY when the mouse is moved around. When the mouse stops moving (maybe for a second or two), you'd AUTOMATICALLY go back to regular tracking mode.

Doable?

David Wilson-Okamura,

This is a good idea. Thank you for taking the time to post.

This is indeed a very good idea and I thought this is implemented in the software.

I learned in a german simulation magazine that the vector movement would freeze while moving the mouse pointer. Very often it is quite hard to toggle switches in a 3D-cockpit.

Also I would like to ask if there is a german software available as well.

Kind regards, Sam
