Locking on to con

Okay, a dumb question. I just bought Trackir 3 Pro and first blush it's terrific but...when I was using Trackir 2 I could hold the allocated 'centre' button on my joy in and it would overide my head movements. This was useful in the final stages of lining up on a con. Unfortunately with Trackir 3 I find that despite holding on to the 'centre' button my head movements overide it, so it's harder to "lock on", even using the Precision hot key. My question is, is there anyway of fixing this?

Macka, if I understand what you are doing I can sugest possibly 2 things.

Select your button to Pause as Center is jsut for recentering you ingame view fron your present head position.

Edit your profile curve downwards a couple of notches in one axis so that you have a slight flat spot in the middle of your curve. Once you have the flat spot bring the curve back up to where it was before (if you like the present setting) bringing it down. This will give you a simular feeling to using a dead zone but for some reason it is a bit smoother coming out of the flat area.

I hope that is what you are looking for.
