by the way i have another thing. can i place all the dots on a hat or something and still make the trackir respond or should i only use one

If you have a vector then only the vector, but if you dont you only need one dot. more would be useless.

I'm curious about the headset option that NaturalPoint has been thinking about. I haven't bought the trackir but am about to. What if 3 dots are put on the headset. One one top and one on each speaker? Has anyone tested this?

Hello:

Currently you must have the 3 dots in a precice pattern, the same dimensions as the Vector clip, which also makes for them to be easily seen by the camera at the same time. If you can place dots in the same configuration on a headset it will work. Also, the point of rotation will be a bit wrong, as we assume the Vector clip is mounted out on a hat brim.
