Having read the news of TrackIR support for Jane's F/A-18 I rushed to try it and here are my sad findings:
( I use TrackIR3Pro version).
1. Tried with software version 3.13 first. It does work in advance mode, but Dead Zones that I set in the TIR's software DO NOT WORK. It means I'm setting dead zones for axes X and Y but TIR does not see these dead zones in the game, i.e. it works like in mouse emulation mode with one IMPORTANT difference - the focus point almost does not drift up/down or to the sides of the screen, like it should in the ADVANCE mode. Still not very appropriate because I always use dead zones for all sim games with native TrackIR support.
2. Thinking that the above problem is due to my old version 3.13 of the software I installed the latest one 4.2.025. It seems to work fine with all other sims but Jane's F-18. Uninstalled 4.1.025 and installed 3.13 back. It works fine in F-18 but the Dead Zone. The feel is like running mouse emulation with improved recentering.
Please fix or advise.
