TrackIR CTD in IL2FB

I have a new install of XP Home
Track IR3 Pro
Running TrackIR 4.1.025 drivers
Java jre-1_5_0_02 windows-i586-p

Using the tracker in IL2FB+AEP+PF the game crashes to desktop.
I get an error message saying the the trackir.exe has encounter trouble and must shut down. I then get a web site saying that MS does not like Java and there is no solution.
I had this just happen to me in that the game CTD to a blue screen and it rebooted.

Anyone have any ideas?

I am at a lost as to why.

Steven, this may help. I fly Pacific Fighters and have no problems. I've had Sun Microsystem Java for quite a while. It's a free install.

I have been using Java for a long time without any problems until now.
IL2FB(4.01m) is the only game effected, MS CFS3 and FS2004 work well.
This is strange because I have been flying IL2FB for a long time.
